Who we are
Specifics.io is a business based in Hong Kong providing automation and technology services to small and medium-sized businesses. References to "we", "us", and "our" in these terms mean Specifics.io. Formal company registration details, including a registered address, will be published here once incorporation is complete; until then, reach us at contact@specifics.io.
Our services
We provide consultancy, workflow automation, systems integration, and related technology services. The scope of any engagement, meaning what we will deliver, by when, and for what fee, is agreed in writing before work begins. Anything outside that written scope is not included unless we agree it in writing.
Quotes, fees, and billing
Work is quoted on a project or retainer basis. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in a quote before an engagement is agreed. Invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice.
Cancellation and refunds
This website does not take payment directly; every engagement is set out in a written agreement or invoice covering scope, fees, and timing before work begins, and that document is what governs cancellation and refunds for that specific engagement.
As a general position, unless the written agreement for your engagement says otherwise: work already completed or in progress remains chargeable if you cancel or pause an engagement, and any fees paid in advance for work not yet started are refunded in full. A discovery call is always free, whatever the outcome.
Your responsibilities
Delivering automation work depends on timely access to the people, systems, and information involved. You agree to provide reasonable access and accurate information, and to ensure you have the right to grant us access to any third-party systems we work with on your behalf.
Intellectual property
On payment in full, you own the deliverables agreed in the written scope. We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, know-how, and reusable internal tooling, and grant you a licence to use them as part of the deliverables. Third-party software and services remain subject to their own licences and terms.
Confidentiality
Each of us agrees to keep the other's confidential information confidential, and to use it only for the purposes of the engagement. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, or required to be disclosed by law.
Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you have paid us for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time an engagement is agreed is the version that applies to that engagement. If you disagree with any of these terms, please raise it with us before engaging our services.
